Mary “Ellen” Womack, 70, of Moscow, passed away on March 6, 2024, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Ellen was born to Donald and Dolores Brittain on October 2, 1953, in Salinas, California. The family moved to Oregon where Ellen later met the love of her life, Jody Womack, in 1970. They were married for 53 years. Their marriage produced 4 daughters, Candy (John) Ihm, Marty (Josh) Lunt, Jenifer Womack, and Jodie (Damien) Wisniew. After having four daughters, they still had room in their heart and adopted Janice Womack to make their family complete.
Ellen was a stay-at-home mom for most of her life. After her children had grown, she became a housekeeper/nanny for the Mundy family and worked for them for many years. In 2020, when Covid hit, she retired from her job that she loved.
Anyone who knew Ellen knew that family was very important to her. She loved to bake and baked treats for her children and grandchildren often. Ellen’s other hobbies were reading and solving crossword puzzles.
Ellen is survived by her husband, children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Marie Brittain, brother Wilbur Brittain, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Dolores Brittain, her siblings Janice, Roberta, Jackie, Butch, and Kelly.
Ellen will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
