I just got a chance to read the obituary of Dr. Drury. He was my doctor when I was a pre-teen through the birth of my first son nearly 48 years ago, and until I left the Troy area. I will always remember Dr. Drury as a kind, understanding and compassionate person who really cared about his patients. He went through a terrible time with me when I was a teen. Something had happened that my mother tried to make appear to be different than it was. Some time later I found out that Dr. Drury knew all along what had really happened, by instinct he knew. He was very understanding and helpful to me. He had a wonderful, full life and I know he is now home with Jesus. Someday I will see him again and be able to tell him Thank You. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. May the Lord comfort you at this difficult time.

Dear Barb and family,
I worked with Rolf many years coordinating his research at Dworshak National Fish Hatchery. Whenever he would contact me I would tell him that it was always good to hear from him, which it was. Rolf was always so respectful of us at the hatchery and could talk to anyone at any level. We shared some deep things about caregiving for our elderly parents which I still hold dear to my heart. I consider him a good friend and will miss him very much. My deepest condolences.

Just found out my dear friend Rich passed. So sorry I wasn't there. You were my best friend and best man at my wedding. I'll never forget the many hours of fishing we shared. We always had such big plans, such as buying motorcycles. I am finally getting around to buying my Harley and had plans to ride out to see you in September. I am such an idiot for waiting. I knew time was running out, but always believed I had more time. You called it spot on all those years ago. You knew you would go at an early age- I just didn't believe it. I am so sorry. You will be sorely missed my friend. Rest in peace, my brother.

Barb:
The Biological Sciences Department was a better place for Rolf having been part of it. He was my direct supervisor for many years, and he was a wonderful mentor. We missed him when he retired and are deeply saddened by his passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
