Donna Jean Hamilton

Our mom was the world’s best sister, wife, mother & Grandma; she passed Thursday Nov 30th 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 77.

Our mom was born April 14th 1940, in Eureka, California to Paul and Zola Deeds.

Our mom married our dad, the love of her life David (Gene) Hamilton on Nov 10th 1956.

Together they had a son and six girls. Settling their family in Idaho in 1971, mom didn’t have to work much outside the home. She was very blessed to stay at home and take care of her family.Donna Hamilton Pic 1

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids: going way out of her way to make sure her family was taken care of.

Our mom loved Jesus and made sure all the grandkids (and anyone else that would be around) went to Sunday school.  She had a huge heart and helped raise many other people as we grow up. She never said “No”. Our house was always full; she will be missed by many.

Our mom was preceded in death by her Parents Paul and Ann Deeds and Bud & Zola Noe; her husband Gene; her only son Earl Wayne, three of her daughters, Linda (Peachy) Ann Tipler, Paula Jean Arnett and Wanda Mae Brown, two brothers Merrit Deeds and Paul (Mack) Deeds; and two son-in-law’s, Peter Leras and Bruce Tipler.

She is survived by us last remaining daughters, Teresa Leras of Juliaetta, Pam (Brad) Dammerman of Bovill and Brenda (Mark) Allen of Genesee; two son-in-law’s Larry Arnett & Dan Brown Sr., her sister Anita Tock, and brothers Duane and Raymond Martin; plus many more family and friends.

Our mom was very blessed to have 24 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

We as Donna’s family would like to give a special “thank you” to Dr. Spain & his staff, as well as the whole staff at Gritman hospital. They truly gave it their all to make her last days with us comfortable.

Visitation will be held from 3pm to 6pm on Wednesday Dec 6th and from noon to 6pm on Thursday Dec 7th at Short’s Funeral Chapel.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday Dec 8th at the Deary Community Bible Church, with interment following at the Bovill Cemetery.

A potluck dinner will follow back at the church.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorials in Donna’s name be made to the Deary Ambulance Fund.

If you would like to make a monetary gift for our mom’s funeral expenses please mail them directly to Shorts Funeral Chapel for Donna Hamilton; 1225 E 6th St, Moscow, Idaho 83843.
