Lillian was born March 5, 1926 at Ingram Island, Oregon to William A. and Mary E. “Nellie” Woolley Badorek. The family moved to Klamath Falls, OR when she was young, where she attended schools, graduating high school there.
She and John Mills eloped to Reno, NV and were married on August 20, 1944. They made their home in Klamath Falls where they ranched and spent the next 59 years together when John died in March of 2003. She moved to Bishop Place to be nearer to family six years ago.
In high school Lillian learned to play the accordion. She was a member of the Derby Piano Accordion Band of Klamath Falls.
Lillian enjoyed knitting and had made afghans for all of her family. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing cards and an occasional trip to the casino. Lillian was a member of the Red Hat Society and especially looked forward to spending time with her family.
Surviving are her sons, William (Roni) Mills of Nyssa, Oregon and John (Doreen) Mills of Moscow. She also leaves four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She has a brother Walt (Sharon) Badorek in Klamath Falls. In addition to her husband, Lillian was also preceded in death by her mother in 1973 and her father in 1977, a brother, William Badorek in 1957 and a sister, Vera Badorek in 1985.
A memorial service will be held later by her family. They suggest that memorials be made to the National Federation of the Blind.
