Wes Wallen Obit Photo 001Wesley W. Wallen of Bovill died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at his home. He was 51.

Wes was born June 7, 1963 at Moscow to Glen R. and Donna Mae Morton Wallen. He grew up on the family farm, attended Moscow schools, graduating from Moscow High in 1981. While in high school, Wes began working at the Moscow Safeway store, beginning his 27 years career with them. Wes went to work for Spence Hardware, and for the past few months has been an assistant sexton at the Moscow Cemetery.

Wes was married to Linda Hanson in 1982 at his family farm. They had three children together and were later divorced. Wes and Lisa Caldwell were married for several years and later divorced. He married Sharon Bogle in Hawaii in 2008 and she preceded him in death.

Wes enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, “makin’ wood” and most of all spending time with his children. Wes Wallen Snow Photo

Surviving are his children, Tabitha (Chris) Gitthens of Casper, WY, Kayla Seubert of Spokane and Wyatt Seubert of Puyallup, WA, his five grandchildren, Christian, Colby, Camden, Caylix and Taylor. He also leaves his parents, Glen and Donna Wallen of Moscow and his siblings, Glenda (Dennis) Deputy of Paradise Valley, NV, Jeanette Rose of Culdesac, ID, Lorraine (Mark Miller) Mallett of Nampa, ID, Roxane (Randy) Fredrickson of Troy, Neal (Tammy) Wallen and Gordon (Sue) Wallen, all of Moscow, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow. Private burial will precede the service at the Moscow Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

    My heartfelt condolences go out to Wes’s family and friends during this extremely difficult, grief filled time.

    I went to MHS with Wes, although I graduated in 1984. I remember his constant smiling face when I’d see him at Safeway. He’d always take a few minutes to talk. He will be greatly missed.
